Clare Rights Activist To Meet Minister Over Lack Of Action For Disabled People

A Clare rights activist is hitting out at the government, saying our treatment of diabled people is bordering on a crime against humanity.

Ann Marie Flanagan is angry over Minister of State for Disabilities Finian McGrath seeking a peace mission to North Korea, instead of focusing on the issue at hand.

It’s after latest figures from the CSO show there’s been a jump of almost 600 in the number of disabled people living in Clare alone since 2011.
