Clare Retaillers Seek Browsing By Appointment Option For Customers

An Ennis retailer is adding her voice to calls for the Government to consider introducing “browsing by appointment”, similar to what is operating in Holland and other European countries.

Retail Excellence Ireland have warned that last week’s government decision not to reintroduce click and collect services for non essential retail will have a negative and lasting impact on the sector.

Following the recent decision which allows parents to make an appointment to buy shoes for their children, fashion retailers are now pleading with the Government to introduce a browsing by appointment option, which would see customers able to access non essential retail in a controlled manner.
