Clare Retailers Urged To Be Innovative To Keep up With Shift To Online

The President of Ennis Chamber of Commerce is warning Clare retailers to be innovative in their offerings to keep up with the shift to online sales.

It comes as a report by Retail Ireland outlines how consumer spending in this country is changing dramatically, with shoppers looking to the internet for value and deals.

Christmas 2017 was a record period for online sales in Ireland – but the monitor also shows that some 70 percent of online spending was on websites outside of Ireland.
