Clare Rents Drop By More Than 2 Percent In 12 Month Period

The average cost of renting a house in Clare has dropped since this time last year.

A standard rent in this county is now 736 euro according to the Residential Tenancies Board.

Clare is one of only four counties nationwide to record cheaper rents in the third quarter of 2020 than during the same period in 2019.

The average monthly rental price here of €736 compares to €753 twelve months ago – a fall of just over two percent, with only Sligo having a higher fall.

Overall, Clare’s mean rents are around 25% lower than the national average, which has now climbed to above €1,000.

Here locally, living in the Shannon area will set you back just over €844 a month, the most expensive area in Clare, which is still well below the nationwide average.

Renting in Killaloe will cost €790 on average, with Ennis in at around the €750 mark.

The Ennistymon and Kilrush region’s meanwhile are among the least expensive in the country – coming in at €590 and €515 on average respectively.
