Clare Psychiatrist Hits Out Over Mental Health Services

A Prominent Clare psychiatrist has hit out over the provision of mental health services in this country, saying the current system is “shambolic”.

Dr John Hillary made his comments at the Family Carers Ireland conference “Life After Care”, where he spoke publically for the first time about his resignation from the HSE in February.

The Miltown Malbay man says the state of mental health services in this coutry left him “ethically compromised”.
