Parents of young children in Clare are being urged to check their car seats are fitted properly.
It comes as research by the Road Safety Authority shows that almost four in every five child car seats are fitted incorrectly, leading to major safety concerns.
The RSA is offering a free checking service at the Sky Court in Shannon until 5:30 this evening – while they’ll be at SuperValu on Frances Street in Kilrush from 10 am until 5:30 pm tomorrow.
