Clare Native Priest Suffering From MND Walking To Raise Funds For Research

A Clare native priest has spoken of how his body “went into shock” after he was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease.

Fr Tony Coote is walking through Crusheen today and onto Bunratty tomorrow, as part of a 550 kilometre walk from Letterkenny to Ballydehob in Cork, under the banner “Walk While You Can”.

He’s aiming to raise a quarter of a million euro to help fund care and research into combating the disease, which has no cure.
