There’s been a drop of almost 14 percent in the number of jobs created by Local Enterprise Office backed firms in Clare in the past 12 months.
But despite this, Clare ranks among the best performing counties nationwide in this regard.
Almost 150 full and part-time roles were added to the market across the county by such companies last year, down from 173 in 2016.
They form part of 3,700 positions created nationally by LEO-backed investments over the past year.
Head of the Clare LEO Padraic McElwee has been telling me the county is in a good position going forward.
