Clare Could Lead The Way With NAMA-Style Housing Body

It’s claimed Clare could lead the way in ending the housing crisis in Ireland by establishing a NAMA-style body.

Meelick councillor Cathal Crowe wants a Special Purpose Vehicle set up, which he says would fast-track the delivery of social housing by avoiding much of the red tape that the local authority faces.

It’s a system that’s already in place in many parts of England.
