Clare ICSA Rep Cautiously Optimistic On Beef Prices

The Clare-based General Secretary of the ICSA is expressing cautious optimism on increases in the price of beef.

Demand is believed to have soared on foot of COVID-19 lockdowns across Europe, with factories now said to be offering up to ten cent per kilogram more than before Christmas.

There is concern among farmers here, however, that the UK market continues to receive a higher price for its beef than in Ireland.
