Gardaí are urging Clare motorists to be security conscious when leaving their car unattended.
It follows 18 reports of cars broken into in the Ennis, Shannon and Killaloe areas in recent weeks, with several items including, cash, tools and laptops stolen.
A number of arrests have been made and one man has appeared before the courts in connection with the thefts.
