The Clare Garda Traffic Corp will be zoning in on Ennis this weekend in an effort to stamp out road deaths.
There will be rolling Garda checkpoints on all sides of the county town as part of Operation Surround, which takes place from 6pm on Saturday night until 4am on Sunday.
The aim is to crack down on the so called Lifesaver Offences of drink-driving, speeding, phone use and seat belt use.
