Clare FM Scoops Prestigious International Award In New York

Clare FM has been honoured with a prestigious international radio award.

The banner’s number one station was nominated in two categories at the New York Festival, “Best Music Special” and “Best Human Interest Story”.

“Top of The World”, a documentary following John Burke’s journey to Mount Everest, beat off competition from radio stations across the world to bring home the Bronze award.


Clare FM was the only Irish local radio station to be nominated this year and speaking after the event in the US last night, the station’s Head of Operations, Padraic Flaherty says winning the award is an amazing achievement:
