Clare’s Fianna Fail Senator is hopeful the HSE’s winter plan will address backlogs of waiting lists in this county and elsewhere.
The plan promises to add 483 acute hospital beds between now and April.
Over 5 million additional home help hours will also be funded by the 600 million euro investment announced yesterday.

It is not yet clear how much of this investment will be channeled into services locally, with an announcement expected late next week.
