Clare FF Cllr Believes Martin Should ‘Question Position’ As Party Leader In Coming Months

An East Clare Fianna Fail Councillor believes Taoiseach Micheal Martin should question his position in the coming months, and step back from the role by the end of the year.

Sixmilebridge representative Alan O Callaghan has voiced his concerns over recent opinion polls, which shows Fianna Fail up to 16 percentage points behind both Sinn Fein and Fine Gael.

Programme for Government arrangements mean Micheal Martin will switch roles with Tanaiste and Fine Gael party leader Leo Varadkar in December 2022.

But Councillor O Callaghan believes a change in the Taoiseach’s office may come sooner than that – and believes his party need to examine the way they’re doing business.
