Clare Female Farmer Believes More Women Are Farming Than Figures Show

It’s claimed that new figures on women working in the agricultural sector don’t paint an accurate picture.

The annual Labour Force Survey shows just 11.6 percent of Ireland’s farmers are female, compared to the EU average of 35 percent.

It means Ireland is bottom of the list in the European Union despite having a strong history of agriculture.
