Clare To Escape Worst of Ex-Hurricane Helene But Warning Of ‘Disturbed Conditions’

Clare is expected to escape the worst of ex-hurricane Helene over the coming days but we’re being warned to be braced for ‘disturbed conditions’.

A status yellow rainfall warning is in place for Galway and Mayo, with up to 40mm of rain predicted with a risk of flooding overnight tonight.

Met Éireann is continuing to monitor the situation and will amend weather warnings if and when it’s needed, while tonight will see the brunt of the ex-hurricane hit Ireland.
