Clare Driver Caught Speeding During Operation Slow Down

One driver has been caught travelling at 35 kilometres over the speed limit in South-East Clare as part of Operation Slow Down.

Gardaí are cracking down on speeding over a 24-hour period in an effort to stamp out road deaths.

As part of the nationwide campaign, Gardaí have checked 34,000 vehicles and found over 100 to be speeding, including one driver travelling at 95 kilometers per hour in a 60 zone in Gortatogher, Ardnacrusha.
