Clare unemployment levels have seen their largest rise for six months.
Figures released this morning by the central statistics office show over 10,700 people are were signing on in the county at the end of July, an increase of 223 on the previous month.

The largest increase has been recorded in Ennis, which accounts for two-thirds of the total rise, and while unemployment is also on the up in Kilrush and Tulla a small rise has been recorded in the Ennistymon area.
