Independent TD Clare Daly says she may break the law again, as part of her concerns over the use of Shannon Airport by the US Military.
Along with colleague Mick Wallace, Deputy Daly was stopped by Airport Police on a taxiway in Shannon yesterday, during an attempt to inspect two American aircraft for weapons.
Meanwhile, a Clare Fine Gael Senator says he's happy to accept the situation that means US military planes passing through Shannon Airport are not inspected.
However, Senator Tony Mulcahy is also promising to examine the issue, and to meet with stakeholders as part of his role on the Oireachtas Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions.
Deputies Daly and say it's "inconceivable" that Ireland's neutrality is not being breached at Shannon, and while Senator Mulcahy disagrees, he's promised answers from the cross-party committee.
