Clare COVID Cases Tops 200 Mark As National Death Toll Tops 1,000

There are now 206 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Co. Clare.

19 new cases were registered here today, bringing the total number above the milestone 200-mark.

Nationally, 577 additional cases have been diagnosed today, while the total number of deaths in Ireland, including probable COVID-related deaths, has now topped 1,000, standing at 1,014.

Earlier today, government figures including Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, urged people to continue to obey the current restrictions, as officials warn that they are not yet in a place where they feel that the current lockdown measures can be lifted.
