The Transport Minister is being called on to come to Clare and explain in person why the local authority’s request to have a representative on the board of Shannon Group has been rejected.
CEO of Clare County Council Pat Dowling was put forward for the board of Shannon Airport’s parent company, so that the authority would have a say in its running.
However, last month saw two new appointees announced – with no place for a council representative.
