Economic Plan For West Clare “Nothing But A Draft Death Notice”

Plans for the economic development of West Clare have been described as a “draft death notice” for the area.

At this week’s meeting of Clare County Council, an update was sought on plans for the development of towns, villages and rural areas in the west of the county.

A number of ongoing projects were highlighted, including works at the Vandeleur Estate in Kilrush and the Loop Head Visitor Attraction, as well as the €6.8 million granted to various projects under the Rural Regeneration Fund.
