Clare County Council Unveils €370m Capital Investment Plans

Clare County Council is planning €370 million worth of capital investments over the next three years.

The ambitious plans were revealed last night, as local representatives signed off the Council’s 2020 budget.

Over the next three years, the Council is planning a significant hike in spending on infrastructure, with its forecast investment three times higher than in the last three years.

Projects include the already-announced new Ennis library, significant roads projects in Ennistymon and Killaloe and more housing.

But Council CEO Pat Dowling says there could be more projects too that have yet to be announced.
