Council Praised For Irish Open Preparations

Clare County Council has been honoured for its role in preparing for The Irish Open in Lahinch.

The local authority has been nominated for the Local Authority Engineering Initiative Award at this year’s Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards.

Ahead of the tournament in July, the Council spearheaded significant infrastructural upgrades including the Rock Armour defences along Lahinch beach and other public realm works including new toilet facilities, upgraded carparks and pedestrian infrastructure.
