Council To Assist Irish Water With Outages In Miltown Area

The West Clare Municipal District has met for the first time since the lockdown began to discuss ongoing issues with water supply in west Clare and the region’s response to COVID-19.

Issues with water supply in the Miltown Malbay area were top of the agenda, and the meeting heard that the Council has been communicating with Irish Water in an effort to be allowed to use their own resources to assist local residents and businesses.

Irish water have confirmed that works to replace the main waterline in the Miltown Malbay-Mullagh area will begin in early 2021 but the council have been looking for ways to support that process.
