Clare’s Environmental Awareness Office is urging shoppers to make efforts now to prevent too much waste building up over Christmas.
This time of year sees the average household produce an extra 30% waste, between wrapping paper, excess food, empty bottles and more.
This year, the message from the environment section of Clare County Council is to prevent, reduce, reuse and recycle – in that order.
