A decision will be made later on the level of property tax levied on Clare homeowners next year.
Clare Councillors are to hold their annual meeting on the Local Property Tax, at which they will determine the level of the charges to be applied here in 2020.
Local representatives have the opportunity to reduce or increase the tax by up to 15% from the base rate, but have applied that average base rate since 2016.

If they vote in favour of the lowest possible rate, then the savings will amount to less than one euro per week for most homeowners here.
