Clare County Council is to assist community groups throughout the county with the costs of insurance.
The local authority is in the closing stages of drawing up a model through which it will assist groups who have been dealing with escalating insurance costs, or even getting cover in the first place.
It’s understood that this model will involve community facilities being covered through the Council’s own public liability insurance, and that it may commence as a pilot scheme for playgrounds.
