Clare Councillors Urged To Increase Pressure On Government Over IDA Visits

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is urging his colleagues to increase pressure on the Government to ensure more potential investors visit the county.

It comes as new figues show that Dublin has seen nearly twenty times more state-sponsored visits by companies than Clare so far this year.

There were only three IDA-supported visits to the county between January to March out of a total of 136 visits nationwide, 57 of which were in Dublin and 30 more were to Cork, Galway and Limerick.
