Clare Commuters Face Travel Chaos As Rail Strike Gets Underway

Clare commuters are among thousands nationwide facing chaos this morning as Irish Rail staff down tools.

No trains are running this morning on account of a pay dispute, with staff seeking a raise of 3.75 percent per year for three years.

The Transport Minister has called on both Iarnróid Éireann and the trade unions to engage in meaningful negotiations to prevent the other planned four days of strikes going ahead.
