Clare Communities Offered Chance To Support Refugee Families

Communities across Clare and the Midwest are being offered the chance to come together and provide support for refugee families.

Doras will begin engaging with groups in this county, as well as Limerick and Tipperary in the coming months, with the aim of assiting them to welcome families, mainly from Syria.

More than 4,600 asylum applications were received by refugees in this country in 2019, while communities including Ennistymon, Shannon and Sixmilebridge have welcomed families of refugees from Syria over recent times.
