Clare Commercial Rates May Fall By Year End

Commercial rates in Clare could ease by the end of this year.

Responding to a question from Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey, Taoiseach Leo Vardkar says he expects the Commercial Rates BIll to be published this year.

Clare businesses currently pay one of the highest rates in the Country, behind only Cork and Kerry and the issue has been a contentious one in recent years after the abolition of Town Councils saw a rise in rates bills in Ennis and Kilrush.
