Clare Chair of COVID Committee Claims Govt Should Consider Airport Testing

Clare’s Independent TD believes airport testing should be considered by the new Government to combat the spread of Covid19 here.

It comes as the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan and the WHO are advising people not to go on holiday abroad this year, amid fears of further spikes of the disease.

There are concerns the number of new COVID-19 cases is increasing globally, while here in Ireland a number of new clusters associated with travel have been identified.

Ireland’s set to ease travel restrictions from July 9th, and Chair of the Oireachtas COVID-19 Committee, Scariff Deputy Michael McNamara says testing and tracing will remain key throughout.
