Clare Campaigner Makes Irish Water Warning

A Clare anti-water charges campaigner has warned that any referendum on the public ownership of water services has to be carefully worded.

A bill which would call for a public vote on ownership is currently before the Dáil Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government for legislative scrutiny.

The bill has received cross-party support within the committee and now will have to pass through the Dáil and Seanad stages.
