Clare To Benefit From €581,000 Under Town And Village Renewal Scheme

Clare is to benefit from more than half a million euro under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

The government has announced €21 million in total this morning for 220 community projects nationwide, including €581,000 in Clare.

In Tulla, €200,000 has been granted for the development of a tea room extension and €160,000 will go to Shannon for the renovation and extension of the Aviation Museum there.

Killaloe, meanwhile, will benefit from €128,000 for the establishment of a training and development hub, while Ballynacally will be granted €93,000 to convert three cottages into a 3-bedroomed apartment and community co-op store.

Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring says the scheme helps communities in many different ways.
