Clare is among the top performing counties so far this year when it comes to attracting foreign direct investment.
The IDA’s report for the first half of the year reveals that the banner county ranks within the top six counties for jobs announcements in 2017 – alongside bigger urban centres like Limerick, Cork and Dublin.
The announcement of 100 positions with diamond manufacturers Element Six in Shannon last January was one of the most significant announcements this year – along with the 400 roles at Northern Trust in Limerick.
