Clare Agricultural Land Prices Jump 10 Percent In Space Of A Year

Agricultural prices in Clare have risen by almost 10 percent in the past 12 months.

The Irish Farmers Journal’s Agricultural Land Price Report shows the average cost of an acre of land in this county now stands at €6,423, up from just over €5,800 a year ago.

In total, almost 3,900 acres of land went up for sale in Clare last year but just over 40 percent of the sales were successful.

The 10 percent price jump in Clare is well ahead of the national average of 3.6 percent and editor of the report Anthony Jordan says it’s because we’re starting from a low base.
