Claims Young Clare Workers Going Hungry To Make Ends Meet

It’s claimed two in every five young workers in Clare are going hungry in order to have money to afford rent.

A survey conducted by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions spoke to 1,500 trade unions members under 34 across the country.

The figures show almost 25% of those surveyed are spending half their weekly wage on keeping a roof over their heads, with one in six admitting to being in arrears.
