Claims More Clarity Needed On Roll-Out Of Broadband In Clare

Calls have been made for more clarity on the timeline for the delivery of high-speed broadband in Clare.

Councillors were yesterday briefed by National Broadband Ireland, the company rolling out the programme of works, with the company saying that it’s already building out part of the network that will serve communities in South-East Clare.

But while it’s also conducted surveys in areas around Kilkishen and Gort, and has plans to do so in Corofin over the coming months, the actual installation of the broadband network is still some time away in those communities and elsewhere..
