It’s claimed Clare has been neglected by the central government when it comes to the allocation of roads funding.

The Department of Transport has allocated an additional 15 million euro towards the repair of roads across the country, which have fallen into disrepair following adverse weather conditions in recent months.

Clare County Council will receive 550,000 euro, compared to Galway’s 1.1 million, 814,000 will go to Tipperary and Limerick will receive 650,000 euro.
