Ennis Chamber is urging shoppers in Clare not to ignore their local shops in favour of high street stores.
It comes as ISME, the organisation representing small to medium-sized businesses, says it’s particularly concerned for local business this year, with the potential impact of Brexit uncertainty on the sector.
While Christmas brings the traditional extra footfall into stores, concern is being expressed that many are heading into larger urban centres outside of Clare.
