Children With Disabilities Waiting Years For Assessment

A Clare disability rights activist says Ireland is not as disability friendly as it seems on paper.

Ann Marie Flanagan’s comments come after it emerged that over 6,000 children are waiting for an assessment of their needs, sometimes for years, despite it being a requirement that the process take no more than three months.

Only 10% of assessments needs are conducted within the specified limit.
