‘Challenging 12 Months Ahead’ For Shannon

The new Cathaoirleach of the Shannon municipal district says successive governments have let down the MidWest.

Councillor Pat McMahon has highlighted the survival of Shannon Airport as the greatest challenge facing the area as the future of jobs and even flights at the airport are uncertain.

He also highlighted the temporary closure of Shannon Heritage sites as a severe economic blow to the region.
