CF Patients ‘Still Facing Problems’ Despite Quality Of Life Improvements

A Clare woman living with cystic fibrosis insists people with CF continue to encounter problems, despite a report showing major improvements for them.

The study from Cystic Fibrosis Ireland found that CF sufferers are living longer and have a better quality of life than 20 years ago.

More than half of the respondents reported being in employment, though in 1998 CF sufferers were not expected to work – while there’s been an almost 30 percent rise in the number living independently.
