Carrigoran House Nursing Home has been praised by the health watchdog.
HIQA has condcuted a two-day inspection at the Newmarket-On-Fergus care centre, a process which included meetings with staff and residents and observation of practices.
The centre was found to be fully compliant on all but one count – one issue was noted with regards to the way in which an incident was not forwarded to HIQA within the required time, although it had been fully investigated.

The inspection also noted positive feedback from the residents in relation to the staff and the provision of care.
