A Clare Fine Gael TD insists a collaborative approach to seeking funding for Clare’s biggest towns is the only way a regeneration will be successful.
Joe Carey’s comments follow news that both Ennis and Shannon have been included in the government’s €2 billion urban regeneration fund.
It forms part of the Ireland 2040 development plan for the country and is aimed at securing more compact, sustainable growth in Ireland’s five cities and other large urban centres.
