A campaign has been launched to crack down on gum litter in Clare.

The Gum Litter Taskforce is asking people to use gum wrappers and make use of the 90 bins around Ennis as opposed to dropping it as they walk.

Chewing gum is difficult and costly to remove and the Ennis Tidy Towns committee hopes that by educating school children on its impact, they will reduce the level of it around the town.
