A Clare home care provider insists there’s no way of committing to the safety of a person in home care without regulating the industry.
It follows a HIQA submission to the Department of Health, which says the quality of health and social care can’t be guaranteed.
The independent authority is urging the government to prioritise the issue so that vulnerable people are not being placed at risk.
