Calls For More Marketing Of Shannon Airport

Shannon Airport is being called on to carry out a survey to find out why people choose to fly from Dublin.

Newmarket-on-Fergus Councillor Pat McMahon believes the MidWest facility can be marketed more strongly to boost tourism in and from this region.

Latest CSO figures show a 5 percent drop in the number of passengers handled at Shannon – with almost 767,000 passing through between January and June.
